Even though the skiing season is over I am very much looking forward to going back next year!
Although the ski season is over I will talk about my ski season last year.
The season began very weird because they changed the teams to pods of 30 people. Even though there were so many people people in one team in was nice. At the end of the season i finished first in our Club Championships.
The Club Championships were the qualifier for a race called "Mastermind". The race was run by the owner of mastermind that go to Devils Glen. The race was at Devils Glen Country Club.
In Mastermind it is a two day ski race. The first day is slalom and the second day is GS (Giant Slalom).In
coach realized that my ski had cracked. I didn't do very well knowing that I was skiing on a ski that could pop at any moment and blow me down the hill. The second run,thanks to my team mate lent me her ski (that was the exact same). At the end of the first day I came 20.
On the second day (GS) I did a lot better because i was using my GS skis. The hill that we were racing on was very steep and you could get a lot of speed on it. That was good for the because I love speed! The hill got really icy really fast. With a lot of cheering from my family and team mate I finished the GS day in 4th! One pace a way from the podium! Although that was my last year I had a great time!
